Hours & Info

The playground opens daily from 8:00am to sunset

Please help us keep the playground open and clean by not leaving any garbage behind.  Food and beverages are ONLY allowed in the pavilion area.

The original Jonathan’s Dream, inspired by the Barzach family of West Hartford and built-in 1996 as the first Boundless Playground, created an inclusive, accessible play space for families and children of all abilities. The new Jonathan’s Dream extends this legacy with an engaging playground that keeps children of all ages and abilities active and moving.

25th Anniversary – 1996 to 2021

Re-Imagined Donor & Original Donor Lists

Jonathan’s Dream would not be possible without generous donors and volunteers. Click on the links below to see donor plaques and text. You can see Jonathan’s Dream Reimagined donor plaques on the entry arch when you visit and through the links below. The original Jonathan’s Dream plaques from 1996-2012 were lovingly transcribed and – where possible – photographed. You can see them in the links below. You can also find some of them in colorful sculptures in Jonathan’s Dream. If your plaque is missing or transcribed incorrectly, please let us know by submitting corrections/additions in form to the right.
